Bromide Plus is a high quality EPA-registered sodium bromide solution that is used to create hypobromous acid, which is the active form of biocidal bromine. It must first be converted from bromide to hypobromous by activation with chlorine gas or liquid bleach chlorine. Bromide Plus is approved by the EPA for use in recirculating cooling water systems, once-through water systems, wastewater treatment systems, and brewery pasteurizers. This product is also approved by the FDA as a fruit and vegetable wash additive.
