Hatching Eggs
Once female turkeys start laying fertilized eggs, they are transported to the hatchery and stored for 3-10 days until they are set in the incubator.
Use Perasan® A to wet fog or rinse-sanitize eggs before incubating them to increase hatching rate and survival of the poults at grow-out.

Incubation and Hatching Poults
After hatching, poults are removed from the hatchers, separated from the eggshells, and counted, before being placed in baskets and delivered to grow-out farms.

Grow-Out Farms
When young turkeys are first placed in a clean, warm brooder barn, they start on clean wood shavings. The water lines are also cleaned, descaled and disinfected before new birds are delivered to the farm to ensure a good start for the poults before moving to grow-out barns.

Harvesting Turkeys
At the processing plant, turkeys are slaughtered, and the feathers, offal, head, legs, and other parts removed, leaving, “a whole turkey,” ready for sale or further processing.

Distribution
