PD2 Litter Treatment, ProMax® and PeraGuard® AH are advancing barn-level pathogen control from floor to entryway
Modesto, Calif. – April 13, 2026 – Enviro Tech, an Arxada company, will showcase three complementary poultry biosecurity solutions – PD2, PeraGuard® AH and Promax®– at PEAK 2026 in Booth 735. Together, these technologies help producers manage pathogen pressure in reused litter and strengthen environmental biosecurity at critical entry points on farm.
PD2 is an EPA-registered1, peracetic acid (PAA)–based, alkaline, granular product designed for poultry litter pathogen management. When applied to the litter, PD2 activates with barn moisture and adjusts litter pH, supporting a stronger start for every flock2.
“Many flocks begin on recycled litter, and what is in that litter can impact bird health and performance,” said Katlyn Connelly, marketing manager, animal health North America for Arxada. “PD2 brings our peracetic acid chemistry into the litter itself, supporting producers’ efforts to manage pH and microbial load before the next flock even arrives.
As producers strengthen litter management with PD2, controlling movement at barn entry points becomes the next essential layer of protection.
PeraGuard® AH dry sanitizer is a patented, dry PAA formulation with controlled-release technology for entryways, foot pans, and high-traffic zones. Upon contact with water or moisture, its odorless, dustless granules activate and cling to boots and footwear, providing disinfection against key viruses – including Avian Influenza, Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILT)– as well as bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella, on hard surfaces, as approved on the EPA label.
“PeraGuard® AH is a powerful safeguard for animal biosecurity,” Connelly said. “By strengthening the ‘zone of protection’ around barns and other high-risk areas, producers can help reduce cross-contamination risks associated with people and equipment movement.”
With litter conditions improved and entryway risks reduced, maintaining clean and efficient water delivery lines completes the environmental biosecurity picture — a role that ProMax® fulfills.
ProMax® descaler is a fast‑acting water line cleaner that eliminates scale and other structures that promote the growth of biofilm in poultry drinking water systems. It also prevents carbonate‑based scale, metals, mineral deposits, and slime formation. Promax can also be used to clean and descale cool cell pads.
“Providing a clean and optimized water delivery system is essential for bird performance,” Connelly said. “ProMax® can be easily added to water line cleaning programs, supporting optimal water consumption and overall flock health.”
Enviro Tech poultry specialists will be available in Booth 735 during PEAK 2026 to discuss PD2 Litter Treatment, PeraGuard® AH, ProMax® and broader biosecurity protocols.
